
Name: Dave Gill
Title: Director of Engineering – DeltaHawk Engines Inc.
Profile: Mr. Gill joined DeltaHawk in 2023 as Director of Engineering. He has 45 years of industrial and recreational product engineering design and development experience ranging from hands on design and test engineering to global team and project management. He holds 49 U.S. patents covering a range of aircraft piston engine design features and characteristics, high efficiency bent axis hydraulic pump / motor design and golf sporting goods products and manufacturing processes. Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical & Production Engineering from the Lincoln University, (formally Lincoln College of Technology), with a minor in Heat Transfer and Applied Thermodynamic. Mr. Gill has been a member of the SAE since 2003 and is now an active member of the SAE Milwaukee Chapter Advisory Board.

Name: Peter True
Title: Director of Engineering – Hayes Performance Systems
Profile: Mr. True joined Hayes in 2010, bringing 15 years of Tier 1 automotive chassis and brake system design and testing experience to new markets.
He has accumulated extensive product development and launch experience in automotive, commercial, recreational, military, construction and agriculture markets, all with safety-critical mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical products focus. He has held successful leadership roles in Advanced Engineering, R&D, Product Development, Program and Product Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
Mr. True holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He has been an SAE member most of his career and is an active member of the SAE Milwaukee Section Board.

Name: Dan Lentsch
Title: Vice President, Engineering – Amalga Composites Inc.
Profile:Mr. Lentsch joined Amalga Composites in 2018 as Vice President of Engineering. He has 14 years of mechanical engineering experience in the automotive, composites, and power tool markets.
He has held several different roles in the aftermarket and OEM automotive categories, giving him experience in many facets of the engineering field. In Mr. Lentsch’s current role he is exposed to a wide variety of niche composite projects from sub sea to space, and everything in between. Previously he assisted in developing several drivetrain related products, power tool accessories, automotive intake and exhaust systems, and smaller consumer products. Additionally, he has experience with 2- and 4-wheel vehicle ABS, stability control, ADAS, semi-active damping, and fuel systems.
Mr. Lentsch holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Engineering Management from Marquette University. Mr. Lentsch has been a member of the SAE since 2019 (also from 2006-2010) and has been acting as Chair of the SAE Milwaukee Chapter Advisory Board for the past five years.

Name : Drew Boyer
Title: Application Engineering Section Manager – Modine Manufacturing Co.
Profile:Mr. Boyer has been with Modine Manufacturing Company since 2006. He has 18 years of mechanical engineering experience in the commercial vehicle, construction, and primarily automotive markets specifically with thermal management systems.
He has held several different roles in the OEM commercial vehicle automotive categories specifically in the applications engineering field. Because applications engineering follows conception to obsolescence launch practices, this field has given him experience in many facets of engineering across multiple regions of operation and product launch. In Mr. Boyer’s current role he is responsible for the entire North American application engineering responsibly for liquid cooled products in the automotive market. This responsibly spans all IC-Engine, automatic transmission, and e-motor liquid to liquid and liquid to air thermal management component needs.
Mr. Boyer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Minor in Mathematics from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Mr. Boyer also holds 4 US patents in the fields of thermal and fluid management. Mr. Boyer has been a member of the SAE since 2006 and has been acting as Social Media Manager of the SAE Milwaukee Chapter Advisory Board since 2008.

Name: Garrett R. Herning
Title(s): President – C2C Integration, LLC, Managing Director – Hydra-Test USA
Profile:Garrett Herning started C2C Integration in 2014, going full time in 2020. In 2022 he became part owner and managing director of Hydra-Test USA in Sussex, WI. He has almost 25 years of experience in mechanical and electrical engineering in the automotive aftermarket, transmission testing, and test lab industries.
He has had many different roles from product engineering, technical training, technical sales, and test engineering. In his current position at C2C Integration he develops custom engineered solutions for clients. In his role at Hydra-Test he overseas sales, product development, and production of automotive transmission test equipment working hand in hand with the European Hydra-Test development and production facility in the UK.
Garrett holds bachelor’s degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. He has been a member of SAE since 1994 and has held various positions on the Milwaukee SAE board since 2009.

Name: Kyle Matenaer
Title: Lead Test Engineer – Do Your Own Testing
Profile:Mr. Matenaer started DYOT in 2021. He has spent 16 years working in research and development specializing in torque and horsepower test and measurement of rotational power transmission equipment. In the beginning of his career, he focused mainly on high torque tractor PTO driveshafts. Now however, he specializes in unique applications like offroad and racetrack vehicular torque measurement and testing, and carbon fiber driveshaft testing.
Mr. Matenaer holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Wisconsin Platteville. He has been a member of SAE since 2015 and is an active member of the SAE Milwaukee Chapter Advisory Board.

Name: Kurt Person
Title: BOSCH USA (retired)
Profile:Mr. Person joined BOSCH in 1990, attaining the title of Engineering Vice President – Automotive Brake Systems and Chassis Controls. Kurt joined HAYES Brakes as CTO from 2008-2018. He rejoined the BOSCH 2 wheeler and Power Sports group and retired in July of 2023 as Chief Engineer of Power Sports Chassis Dynamics. He continues at BOSCH as an Executive Consultant in BOSCH Management Services North America. Kurt 39+ years of Product and Business Development Leadership with extensive expertise in extreme vehicle testing and development of advanced mechatronics of chassis systems (brakes, steering, suspension) on cars, trucks, motorcycles, snowmobiles, UTVs and ATVs. He holds over 12 U.S. patents and the area of advanced chassis controls. Mr. Person holds a Technical Bachelor’s Degree from Northen Michigan University. He was also selected for Executive R&D Leadership training at the Carnegie Bosch Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Person has been a member of SAE for over 30 years, serving as judge, sponsor and Brake Colloquium section organizer. He is currently a Senior Advisor and active member the SAE Milwaukee Chapter Advisory Board.

Name: Isaiah Harmon
Title: Engineered Materials Group territory manager Parker Hannifin
Profile: Mr. Harmon has been a part of Parker for a little over 2 years and is currently in charge of managing the state of WI when it comes to engineered materials products such as O-rings and gaskets.
Isaiah acquired his Bachelors in Chemical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and has recently joined the SAE board as an active member.
