Keynote by Gerhard Maier – Control Systems Inc.
Opening Address:
The night’s opening address will be delivered by Gerhard Maier – President of Control Systems, Inc. (CSI). Since 2000, CSI has provided electronic control solutions and engine development services to O.E.M. customers. This includes electronic governing, ignition and air/fuel ratio controls for gasoline, gaseous fuels, and diesel engines.
Applications using CSI electronics range from single cylinder utility engines to V-8 marine power plants. They have developed customer specific controllers for generator sets, golf carts, lawn snowmobiles, lift trucks, welders, on-road equipment, unmanned military aircraft, etc.
CSI also offers engine development, emissions and durability testing services for <19kW engines. This includes g/hp-hr emissions testing via CVS tunnel, as well as EPA/CARB cycle durability testing. Mr. Maier is a graduate of Universität Stuttgart.

About Milwaukee Section Student Grant Challenge –
Once again, the Milwaukee Section of the Society of Automotive Engineers is proud to sponsor the development of student engineers through Student Chapter activities and SAE Student Design Competitions. The Milwaukee Section Board is interested in all efforts to make SAE Student Chapters and Clubs vital to lifelong learning, their colleges and industry.
The Grant Challenge will recognize SAE student competitions, strategic planning, leadership development, membership development, student programs, student papers and technical acheivements. Total awards will be at least $6000. Your participation in this meeting will influence how the awards will be distributed to our student chapters.
